Problems with videos playback since updating to Chrome 37

Chrome updated itself to version 37 yesterday, and now I can't play videos that used to play fine. I get a "Video Element Error: MEDIA_ERR_DECODE" error.

Has anyone else ran into this after updating Chrome?

I believe this problem has to do with https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=53193. It seems Chrome has introduced a bug about being too picky about what it can play, since everything used to work. If I need to encode my video differently, I can try that, but that's a scary thought if my project was already released in production.
