Hi all, This PR solves https://github.com/Dash-Industry-Forum/dash.js/issues/382 & https://github.com/Dash-Industry-Forum/dash.js/issues/1122

I am still adding docs for API / Events but wanted to created a PR for all to review. Please scrutinize this PR as much as possible. I have tested in auto mode but still in the process of testing. Manual mode is a good way to understand what is happening behind the curtain. Thanks for any help with testing!
