HOTFIX: #240 seek backward / implicit buffer prunings

Hi, We have an urgent need for this fix so I made a hotfix in the similar way that @bwidtmann describes in Issue #240 (closed). Could you check it over? Though I've not observed any inconvenience while playing ordinary videos after this fix, I'm a little anxious about this fix because we have another problem while playing a video with very large bitrate. I hope that this is only due to the bitrate and has nothing to do with the issue #240 (closed).
