Es6 to dev merge

This is the merge of the es6 refactor into the main dev branch. With this merge all are now free to start developing on this branch in preparation for the 2.0 release slated for End of January 2016.

We are still very much working on refactoring small elements and code may move around a bit more than usual. Updates will be sent out to alert the group if any such changes are needed before they are made.

There are some grunt issues still that need to be resolved and cleaned up and we are still working on standing up test and adding new ones.
